The 2024 HBCU All-Star Game, a college basketball showcase highlighting 24 of the best HBCU players in the country, will be held at Grand Canyon University, Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.

“The HBCU All-Stars Movement is truly excited to show the world that HBCUs matter and bring this historic game to Phoenix and the southwest part of the country during college basketball’s weekend,” said Travis L. Williams, Founder and CEO of HBCU All-Stars LLC. “We have an amazing opportunity and platform on a global stage in the great city of Phoenix to magnify community outreach and initiatives, financial commitment,
resources, and love for HBCUs, students, student-athletes, academic scholarships, and celebrate Black History, Black Excellence, and Black Cultural Experiences.  It is very important that we continue raising national awareness of our prestigious HBCUs and long legacy of academic and athletic achievement, and contributions to the great game of basketball. This annual HBCU All-Star Game was created to engage, empower, and elevate student athletes from HBCUs on the highest stage and provide exposure, access, recognition, opportunities, resources, and results”. On Sunday, April 7, all eyes will be on Phoenix for what will be an outstanding game and phenomenal celebration of the Best in Black College Basketball.”

“The game features the best college seniors in the nation while honoring basketball legends who paved the way for them, including Alvin Attles, Jr. (North Carolina A&T State University, CIAA), John Chaney, Bethune-Cookman University (SIAC), Robert Earl “Bob” Love, Southern University (SWAC), Leonard Eugene “Truck” Robinson, Tennessee State University (Independent), and Zelmo “Big” Beaty, Prairie View A&M University

This event is far more than a basketball game. HBCU All-Stars LLC will stage the HBCU All-Star Game Experience, a week-long festival that will kick off the week on Tuesday, April 2, and conclude the following Tuesday after the Championship game (April 9). Community events may include an HBCU All-Stars College Admissions Fair, Community Outreach and Engagement, Pro Day Combine, Welcome Reception, Awards Ceremony, and Social Justice & Civil Rights panel discussion.
