HBCU All-Stars Announces the Top 24 HBCU Players To Play in the Fifth Year Anniversary HBCU All-Star Game at Corteva Coliseum located at Indiana State Fairgrounds!
HBCU All-Star Game set for Sunday, April 5 in Indianapolis, Indiana and airing live on Wish Television Network & BET Fast Channel
ATLANTA (Monday, March 16, 2026) - The HBCU All-Star Game, will take place on Sunday, April 5 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the prestigious Corteva Coliseum at 1 p.m. CST/2:00 EST, and feature four premier HBCU Division I and II conferences in the country. The game will be comprised of the nation’s top 24 players who will make up the rosters named after two HBCU and NBA Legends, Team Bob Dandridge versus Team Sam Jones. The game will air live on the Wish Television Network and streamed on BET Fast Channel.
“The 24 players that have been selected from our 2025-26 basketball season and top 100 Watch List represent the best in college basketball at our country’s esteem Historically Black colleges and universities. For the past six months, we have been on an amazing HBCU All-Stars national promotional tour across the country talking about this GOD-driven vision providing E.A.R. and O.R.R. (Exposure, Access, Recognition, Opportunities, Resources, and Results) for our proud and prestigious HBCUs, hard-working, talented, ambitious, deserving students, student-athletes, and brilliant coaches across the country. Our HBCU All-Stars national scouting staff have evaluated and scouted the top players from the 48 participating HBCUs, and watched so many games in person, and on television. There were many outstanding players very deserving of this great honor and opportunity to play at the highest level at the beautiful Corteva Coliseum located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and on the biggest stage during college basketball’s biggest weekend. Our great partnership with Wish Television Network, and BET Fast Channel to broadcast this historic fifth anniversary HBCU All-Star Game Experience speaks in volume about the significance of celebrating Black Excellence, History, and Cultural Experiences in sports,” said HBCU All-Stars LLC Founder and CEO Travis L. “This is history in the making once again to host the first ever HBCU All-Star Game Experience in the great city of Indianapolis, and in a part of the country where no HBCUs exist, but are truly celebrated amongst the city with some outstanding and passionate HBCU alums, supporters, key stakeholders, and basketball enthusiasts,” said Williams. “As always, I am just being obedient to this God-driven vision that was founded in 2019 after 17 successful years of coaching at two prestigious HBCUs, Tennessee State and Fort Valley State Universities, and it has been a long journey and dream come true to get to this point in year #5. We will continue honoring and celebrating the rich history, tradition, and contributions of HBCUs to the sport of college basketball. Team Bob Dandridge will be made up of players who competed in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), and INDEPENDENT schools representing Tennessee State, Hampton, and North Carolina A&T State Universities.
Team Sam Jones is comprised of players who compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA), and INDEPENDENT schools representing Tennessee State, Hampton, and North Carolina A&T State Universities.
Along with the announcement of the players for the game, HBCU All-Stars also announced the postseason individual award winners who will be honored at the game in April.
The HBCU All-Stars John McLendon National Division I Co-Coaches of the Year are Nolan Smith, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Tennessee State University and Kenneth Blakeney, Howard University while the HBCU All-Stars Clarence “Big House” Gaines Division II Co-National Coaches of the Year is Larry Dixon, Morehouse College and Devin Hoehn from Fayetteville State University.
The HBCU All-Stars Bobby Phills Division I Co-National Players of the Year are Aaron Nkrumah from Tennessee State University, and Bryce Harris from Howard University who will also be suiting up for Team Bob Dandridge. The HBCU All-Stars Cleo Hill Division II Co-National Players of the Year are Jermontae Hill from Morehouse College representing Team Bob Dandridge and Larry Howell from Fayetteville State University suiting up for Team Sam Jones.
