ATLANTA (WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2023) HBCU All-Stars LLC has announced its second 2023-24 HBCU All-Stars “Player of the Week and Team of the Week” honors featuring the nation’s top HBCU student-athletes from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, Tennessee State, North Carolina A&T, and Hampton Universities.

In only the second week, all of our outstanding teams, coaches, support staff, and the nation’s top 60 HBCU players on the HBCU All-Star Game Watch List are working hard, competing at a very high level, and representing the HBCU All-Stars Basketball Movement. Our watch list players have proved their selection and level of talent, skills, and abilities while playing numerous Power 5 programs across the country in the Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, Pac-12, and SEC. They also did not disappoint and proved their value in celebrating Black excellence in the second annual ATL Has Something to Say HBCU All-Stars Challenge at Morehouse College Forbes Arena on Friday, November 17 & Saturday, November 18. As the Thanksgiving Holidays season approaches with family and friends, we are truly grateful, humbled,
blessed to recognize, and honor the accomplishments of these outstanding players and teams.
Our HBCU All-Stars National Scouts with over 100 combined years of coaching, scouting, and recruiting will continue attending games and evaluating, scouting, and recruiting the nation’s top 60 players across the country from the 2024 Watch List.
HBCU All-Stars Player of the Week selections will highlight and showcase the nation’s best HBCU student-athletes and brilliant coaches on a national stage.
HBCU All-Stars LLC will honor the illustrious playing careers of Alvin Attles Jr, North Carolina A&T State University (CIAA), John Chaney, Bethune-Cookman University (SIAC), Leonard Eugene “Truck” Robinson, Tennessee State University (Independent), Robert Earl “Bob “Love, Southern University (SWAC), Zelmo “Big Z” Beaty, Prairie View A&M University (SWAC). All of these amazing HBCU legends made their mark in this great game of basketball and reached the highest level of success in the NBA. We will recognize their impact on our HBCU basketball culture during the 2023-24 basketball season and host the third annual HBCU All-Star Game on the beautiful campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
This event is far more than a basketball game. HBCU All-Stars LLC will stage the HBCU All-Star Game Experience, a week-long festival that will kick off the week on Tuesday, April 2 and conclude the following Tuesday after the Championship game (April 9). It will celebrate the HBCU Experience and will be highlighted by a HBCU All-Stars College Admissions Fair, Community Outreach and Engagement, Pro Day Combine, Welcome Reception, Awards Ceremony, and Social Justice & Civil Rights panel discussion.
The HBCU All-Star Game will air live on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream on
Paramount+.
