According to Travis L. Williams, HBCU All-Stars, LLC Founder/CEO, “We are already a month into the 2023-24 basketball season and have seen numerous upsets, impressive win streaks, very high level and competitive games from our talented HBCU teams, coaches, and players. The past several weeks have been an outstanding display of sports talent and acumen and week four did not disappoint. The hard work and dedication of these teams, coaches and staff makes our job to select the winners both exciting and difficult. These students-athletes are competing with greatness on and off the court. They are the best in Black college basketball and we look forward to seeing how their season progresses. Our MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, and Independent teams, coaching staff, and watch list players have sent a loud and clear message in non-conference play that HBCUs matter and the HBCU All-Stars Basketball Movement is here to stay. We’ve had some impressive wins in the SWAC and MEAC and there’s no hesitation in my voice and no doubt in my mind to say that our HBCU teams can play with some of the nation’s best college basketball programs across the country. The CIAA and SIAC are in full conference play and many of these teams have come out strong with undefeated records. I am very excited that every week, we will see our HBCU teams positioning themselves for the regular season and conference tournament championships.”

Our HBCU All-Stars National Scouts with over 100 combined years of coaching, scouting, and recruiting will continue attending games and evaluating, scouting, and recruiting the nation’s top 60 players across the country from the 2024 Watch List.

HBCU All-Stars Player of the Week selections will highlight and showcase the nation’s best HBCU student-athletes and brilliant coaches on a national stage.

HBCU All-Stars LLC will honor the illustrious playing careers of Alvin Attles Jr, North Carolina A&T State University (CIAA), John Chaney, Bethune-Cookman University (SIAC), Leonard Eugene “Truck” Robinson, Tennessee State University (Independent), Robert Earl “Bob “Love, Southern University (SWAC), Zelmo “Big Z” Beaty, Prairie View A&M University (SWAC).  All of these amazing HBCU legends made their mark in this great game of basketball and reached the highest level of success in the NBA. We will recognize their impact on our HBCU basketball culture during the 2023-24 basketball season and host the third annual HBCU All-Star Game on the beautiful and breathtaking campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

This event is far more than a basketball game.  HBCU All-Stars LLC will stage the HBCU All-Star Game Experience, a week-long festival that will kick off the week on Tuesday, April 2 and conclude the following Tuesday after the Championship game (April 9).  It will celebrate the HBCU Experience and will be highlighted by a HBCU All-Stars College Admissions Fair, Community Outreach and Engagement, Pro Day Combine, Welcome Reception, Awards Ceremony, and Social Justice & Civil Rights panel discussion.

The HBCU All-Star Game will air live on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream on
