According to Travis L. Williams, HBCU All-Stars, LLC Founder/CEO, “This has been a very pivotal week #6 for player of the week and team of the week honors after coming out of final exams and heading into the Christmas and 2024 New Year Holidays seasons. I am very proud of our 2024 HBCU All-Star Game watch list players representing the HBCU All-Stars Basketball Movement at a high level on a weekly basis. As we head into the Christmas Holiday season, it is very important to take a few moments to be thankful for each other, and impact lives while blessing and serving our communities in need. HBCU All-Stars and our CBS Sports partners will continue celebrating the
Best in Black College Basketball throughout the 2023-24 basketball season with our HBCU teams across the country after the Christmas break. Many of HBCU teams have finished strong going into the Christmas holidays and will take a few days off to spend quality time with their family and friends. On top of that, our brilliant coaches and talented players will have some much-needed time to reflect on the first half of the season and recharge to make the necessary adjustments in the second half of the season. There will be a few more guaranteed games in play versus Power 5 programs after the Christmas break for some of our HBCU programs and very hopeful we will win some of those games. The MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, CAA, and OVC regular season and conference tournament championships are on the line and in full display to start the 2024 new year. Our HBCU teams, coaches, and players will be very excited to bring those championships back to their prestigious campuses and athletic departments. So, get ready for some amazing HBCU talent on display to start the second half of the season”
Our HBCU All-Stars National Scouts with over 100 combined years of coaching, scouting, and recruiting will continue attending games and evaluating, scouting, and recruiting the nation’s top 60 players across the country from the 2024 Watch List.
HBCU All-Stars Player of the Week selections will highlight and showcase the nation’s best HBCU student-athletes and brilliant coaches on a national stage.
HBCU All-Stars LLC will honor the illustrious playing careers of Alvin Attles Jr, North Carolina A&T State University (CIAA), John Chaney, Bethune-Cookman University (SIAC), Leonard Eugene “Truck” Robinson, Tennessee State University (Independent), Robert Earl “Bob “Love, Southern University (SWAC), Zelmo “Big Z” Beaty, Prairie View A&M University (SWAC).
