ATLANTA (WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2025) HBCU All-Stars LLC has announced its 10th 2024-25 HBCU All-Stars “Player of the Week, Team of the Week, and National Spotlight Player” honors featuring the nation’s top HBCU men and women student-athletes from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, Tennessee State, North Carolina A&T, and Hampton Universities.
“Week 10 Player of the Week and Team of the Week honors has extra meaning and significance. Last weekend the nation celebrated the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his impact around the globe. I chose to honor the Rev. Dr. King by marching with over 100,000 in San Antonio, Texas. During the march and while carrying the “HBCU All-Stars Banner” I reflected on the fact that King was a graduate of Morehouse College, which is one of the oldest HBCU’s in the nation. This was an incredibly special moment for me both personally and professionally and is at the very top of my life’s accomplishments, goals, and aspirations. There is so much love and support from the San Antonio communities, and the city for the HBCU All-Stars Basketball Movement and the fourth annual HBCU All-Star Game.” – Travis L Williams CEO/Founder HBCU All Star LLC
