ATLANTA (TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2024) HBCU All-Stars LLC has announced its fifth 2024-25 HBCU All-Stars “Player of the Week, Team of the Week, and National Spotlight Player” honors featuring the nation’s top HBCU men and women student-athletes from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, Tennessee State, North Carolina A&T, and Hampton Universities.

Our HBCU All-Stars National Scouts with over 100 combined years of coaching, scouting, and recruiting will continue attending games, evaluating, scouting, and recruiting the nation’s top 100 men and women players across the country from the 2024-25 Watch List.

Men’s Player of the Week
- Reggie Ward Jr, Bethune Cookman University – Averaged 33 mpg, 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2.5 steals for the week.
Men’s Team of the Week
- SWAC Men’s Team of the Week: Bethune Cookman University – Went (1-1) for the week with a win over University of South Florida (77-69) on the road and a tough road loss at Davidson College (76-63).
- MEAC Men’s Co-Players of the Week: Martaz Robinson, Delaware State University – Averaged 36.5 mpg, 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals for the week.
- MEAC Men’s Co-Players of the Week: Brian Moore Jr., Norfolk State University – Averaged 30 mpg, 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals for the week.
- MEAC Men’s Team of the Week: Delaware State University – Went (2-0) for the week with two wins over Grambling State University (73-60) and Alabama State University (83-80) at the Chris Paul HBCU Challenge. Overall record (7-6) with a four-game win streak.
National Spotlight Men’s Player of the Week
- Martaz Robinson, Delaware State University – Averaged 36.5 mpg, 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals for the week.
- Jalen Williams, Clark Atlanta University – Averaged 35 mpg, 18.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the week.
Women’s Player of the Week
- Diamond Johnson, Norfolk State University – Averaged 37.3 mpg, 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2 steals for the week.
Women’s Team of the Week
- MEAC Women’s Team of the Week: Norfolk State University – Went (2-1) for the week with wins over North Carolina A&T (68-59) and Drexel (68-56). They lost to UNC (90-47) and now have (11-3) overall record on the season.
- SWAC Women’s Team of the Week: Alabama A&M University – Went (2-1) for the week with a (80-77) win at North Alabama. They lost at Tulane (53-46), but bounced back for a (55-53) victory over Central Arkansas. Their overall record is (7-4) with a six-game win streak.
National Spotlight Women’s Player of the Week
- Alisha Wilson, Alabama A&M University – Averaged 28.7 mpg, 10.7 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals for the week.
- Nya Morris, Claflin University – Averaged 30.3 mpg, 24.6 points, 4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 4 steals for the week.
National Spotlight Women’s Team of the Week
- National Spotlight NCAA Division I Women’s Team of the Week: Alabama A&M University – Went (2-1) for the week with a (80-77) win at North Alabama. They lost at Tulane (53-46), but bounced back for a (55-53) victory over Central Arkansas. Their overall record is (7-4) with a six-game win streak.
- National Spotlight NCAA Division II Women’s Team of the Week: Miles College – Went (2-1) on the week with a (79-63) loss to Allen University, and two home wins over Edward Waters University (58-56) and Savannah State University (67-50). Miles College has an overall record of (7-2).
About The All Star Game
This event is far more than a basketball game. HBCU All-Stars LLC will stage the HBCU All-Star Game Experience, a week-long festival that will kick off the week on Tuesday, April 2 and conclude the following Tuesday after the Championship game (April 9). It will celebrate the HBCU Experience and will be highlighted by a HBCU All-Stars College Admissions Fair, Community Outreach and Engagement, Pro Day Combine, Welcome Reception, Awards Ceremony, and Social Justice & Civil Rights panel discussion.
